Joe Oak is used to living on unsteady ground. The struggle to feed himself gets intense, and Joe finds himself dumpster diving for meals. He's never felt so alone--until an emaciated little dog and her two tiny pups cross his path. Lisa Fipps is also the author of Starfish, a Printz Honor winner. She is a graduate of Ball State University, an award-winning former journalist, and a former director of marketing for a public library (where she won the Sara Laughlin marketing award). She lives in Kokomo, Indiana.
