Leslie Barnard Booth writes lyrical picture books about science and nature. She is the author of One Day This Tree Will Fall, illustrated by Stephanie Fizer Coleman, and A Stone Is a Story, illustrated by Marc Martin. Leslie grew up in the Pacific Northwest, among giant trees, rugged mountains, and lots of clever corvids. She lives in Portland, Oregon, and loves exploring the natural world with her family. Alexandra Finkeldey is an illustrator based in Kingston, Canada.
