Laekan Zea Kemp is the author of the picture books A Crown for Corina, illustrated by Elisa Chavarri; Home Is a Heartbeat, illustrated by Magdalena Mora; Desert Song, illustrated by Beatriz Gutiérrez Hernández, and numerous other titles for young readers. Raissa Figueroa is a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor recipient who has illustrated several acclaimed picture books, including Wash Day Love by Tanisia Moore, We Wait for the Sun by Katie McCabe and Dovey Roundtree, the Oona books by Kelly DiPucchio, and her very own What My Daddy Loves.
